Job Description
Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Must have 2 years’ experience, a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping and Receiving Clerk responsible for managing the efficient flow of goods into and out of a warehouse or facility. Skilled in receiving, inspecting, shipping, inventory management, and maintaining accurate documentation to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving Deliveries
Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, condition, and damage
Unload deliveries and verify contents against purchase orders
Shipping Preparations
Package items securely for shipment and prepare required shipping documentation
Ensure proper labeling, obtain shipping quotes, and coordinate timely dispatch
Inventory Management
Track and update inventory records
Monitor stock levels and organize warehouse materials efficiently
Documentation and Record Keeping
Complete, scan, and file shipping and receiving documents
Maintain detailed logs of inbound and outbound shipments
Organization and Safety
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all safety protocols and procedures during material handling
Additional Responsibilities
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
Assist with order picking and fulfillment as needed
Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal teams
Skills and Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Effective verbal and written communication
Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items safely
