THE JOB

We're looking for a Design Lead who excels at crafting highly efficient production systems designed for creative marketing. This role will help optimize every aspect of our creative workflow through a combination of design systems experience and their deep background in digital marketing campaigns. Our ideal candidate will be able to bridge the gap between the needs of the creative brief and our goal of crafting creative solutions that scale.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

Lead the optimization of our production workflows, best practices, and execution through Figma templates, automation, and exploration.

Translate insights from our industry, our clients, and our creative briefs into scalable, effective, and impactful marketing campaigns.

Partner with marketing and product teams to support the creation of high-performing digital marketing and campaign deliverables.

Collaborate with product managers, developers, visual designers, and stakeholders to deliver seamless and system-driven marketing solutions.

Ensure all designs align with established brand guidelines or visual centers, while identifying opportunities to evolve or extend design systems and UX patterns.

Apply insights from usability testing, audits, and stakeholder feedback to continuously refine workflows.

Provide guidance and feedback to peers and junior designers to elevate overall creative and operational quality.

Stay up to date on Figma plug-ins, Figma API, automation, accessibility (WCAG), and emerging UX and creative production trends.

AS FOR EXPERIENCE, YOU NEED:

Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Product Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

5–7 years of professional experience in UX, product design, or creative production roles.

A portfolio showcasing user-centered design process, systems thinking, and execution of both UX and production-ready digital assets across channels.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Expert in Figma and other UX/design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, or Miro.

Deep understanding of component-based design systems, responsive and mobile-first design, and creative production workflows.

Skilled in digital asset production for marketing campaigns—including paid ads, email creative, and social media.

Familiarity with automation tools, Figma plug-ins, or scripting with the Figma API a strong plus.

Strong communication and storytelling abilities to clearly present design rationales and production strategies.

Excellent collaboration and critique skills across creative, product, and engineering teams.

DEPARTMENT ORGReporting: This role reports to the UX Design Lead, Associate Creative Director, or Creative Director (UX).

Collaboration: Collaborates with Product Managers and Developers, UI/Visual Designers and Copywriters, Content Strategists and User Researchers, QA and Accessibility teams.

Mentorship: May mentor Junior Designers or Design Interns.

VALUES

Be Lean, Take Action

We believe in thinking big, rolling up our sleeves, and getting the job done. And while we love a good plan, we believe in using process as an engine, not a brake.

Say What You Mean, Mean What You Say

We’re all here to learn, grow, and evolve together, which requires connecting, conflicting, and embracing. Honesty and ideas are welcome; ego is not.

Show Up Fully

We invite you to bring your whole self to work — your perspective, cultural background, lived experiences — while creating room for others’ strengths to complement your own. What makes you remarkable is welcome at Thesis.

ENCOURAGEMENT

Above all, be hungry to learn and grow beyond this job description.

Research shows that women and people of color often only apply for jobs if they meet 100% of the qualifications. We understand experience can manifest in different ways, and we want to hear about it.

We also know the confidence gap and imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting spectacular candidates. So, please don’t hesitate to apply. We’d love to hear from you.
