As Ohio’s Secretary of State, Frank LaRose is doing his part to deliver a thriving democracy and a prosperous economy for all Ohioans. In his role as the state’s chief elections officer, he’s working to ensure that Ohio’s elections are both secure and accessible. And, as the first stop for new businesses in the Buckeye State, he is assisting entrepreneurs as they receive articles of incorporation for a new business.
The Ohio Secretary of State is currently seeking candidates for the Fall 2025 College Internship Program with photography and videography experience.

We are seeking a talented, creative intern to join our External Affairs Division, Communications Team to support photography and videography for statewide initiatives and events. This role will provide hands-on experience capturing compelling visual stories, creating multimedia content for social media, and documenting high-profile events.
Undergraduate students studying communications, journalism, photography, videography, public relations, or related fields will gain valuable experience while helping Ohioans make their voice heard.
We are looking for an intern who can work a minimum of 20 hours per week and has:
Photography and videography experience (portfolio or sample work encouraged)
Familiarity with editing software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.) preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
The willingness to travel throughout the State of Ohio (must provide own transportation, mileage will be reimbursed)
Current undergrad college students interested in:
