Job Title: Finance & Compliance Manager

Reports To: Director of FinancePosition Summary

The Finance and Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing financial management, grant compliance, and reporting functions to ensure the organization meets all fiscal, contractual and regulatory obligations. This position works closely with program leadership to maintain strong financial stewardship of the organization’s resources and compliance with funder requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesGrant Compliance (Federal, State, Private)

· Monitor and ensure compliance with grant agreements and regulations, including OMB Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200).

· Develop and maintain systems to track grant reporting deadlines, allowable expenses, match requirements, and performance deliverables.

· Review grant proposals and budgets for compliance risks.

· Provide compliance training and technical assistance to program staff on grant rules and expectations.

· Support post-award grant management, including close-out procedures and documentation.

Internal Controls & Risk Management

· Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating the organization’s financial and compliance policies and procedures.

· Conduct regular internal reviews to ensure compliance with policies and identify areas for improvement.

· Recommend and help implement corrective actions as needed.

Financial Management

· Assist the Director of Finance in overseeing day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting

· Maintaining accounting records for the organization in compliance with GAAP standards

· Serve as point of contact for external auditors, providing documentation and responses related to compliance areas.

· Support the preparation of the annual Single Audit

· Compile reports and documentation for Director of Finance.Requirements:

QualificationsRequired:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience

· Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in financial management, nonprofit compliance, grant management, or financial oversight.

· Strong working knowledge of federal grant regulations (particularly 2 CFR 200) and nonprofit accounting principles.

· Experience developing or improving internal controls and compliance systems.

· Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

· High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
