Lead Groom Artist

Red Star are looking for an experienced LEAD GROOM ARTIST to work remotely on our production of THE AMAZING MAURICE 2. Candidates must be based in either the UK (preferred) or the EU.

The Job:

Creation of hair/fur/feather grooms for characters and creatures using Yeti for Maya

Updating assets from previous film to the appropriate version of Yeti

Work closely with the CFX artists to set up Yeti graphs that work with Houdini hair simulations

Work closely with the LookDev artists to deliver high quality character assets

Quality control on publication of character assets

Must have:

Good understanding of Grooming techniques and efficiencies

Experience using Yeti and Maya

Good understanding of pipeline and workflow requirements

Excellent time management and communication skills

Experience with Autodesk Shotgrid / Flow Production Tracking

Four years production experience

Nice to have:

Experience with Houdini

Experience with other forms of dynamics

Feature Film experience
