Position Overview

The Corporate Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial reporting, compliance, and operational accounting for the company. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the integrity of financial information, driving strategic financial planning, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.

Oversee the accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee tax audits and filings.

Manage Staff Accountants and AP clerical roles, assessing performance and aiding in career development plans.

Manage the financial reporting process, including variance analysis and financial forecasting.

Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and accuracy of financial statements.

Support M&A and special projects.

Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve financial reporting accuracy.

Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making and business performance.

Qualifications

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred).

Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience with a focus on corporate accounting and reporting.

Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and practices.

Experience as a Controller or in a similar leadership role preferred.

Familiarity with tax accounting, compliance, and audits is a plus.

Strong technical accounting skills and experience in lending or financial services is desirable.
