Location: Columbus, OH 43215 (Hybrid 2 days in office)

Duration: 12-month contract (Potential contract to hire in 2026)

Start Date: Targeting Sep 2025

Pay Rate: $46.00/hr. on W2

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Accessibility Product Owner to lead the charge in making our digital products and documents more inclusive for individuals with disabilities.

This role will focus on driving accessibility improvements across web, mobile, and PDF experiences, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards and enhancing usability for all users.

The Accessibility Product Owner will partner closely with the Product Manager to align team priorities with broader business goals, manage and prioritize the accessibility backlog, and collaborate across cross-functional teams including design, engineering, and compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of accessibility best practices (WCAG, ADA), digital product development, and user-centered design.

Key Responsibilities:

Own and prioritize the accessibility backlog, balancing user needs, technical feasibility, and business impact. Collaborate with product managers to align accessibility initiatives with enterprise digital strategy. Work with designers, developers, and QA to ensure accessibility is embedded throughout the product lifecycle. Advocate for inclusive design and accessibility across the organization. Analyze accessibility audit results and user feedback to inform roadmap decisions. Support accessibility improvements in both digital interfaces and document formats (e.g., PDFs).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience as a Product Owner or similar role in digital product development. Strong knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1+, ADA, Section 508). Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Axe, WAVE, and screen readers (e.g., NVDA, JAWS). Ability to communicate the value of accessibility through data and user stories. Experience working in agile environments and managing cross-functional collaboration.
