Compensation

Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Position Summary

Summary:

The Mammography Technologist, under the general direction of the Radiologist is responsible for performing screening and diagnostic mammography exams at a technical level that will produce high quality images. May be assigned to other duties (i.e. assisting in stereotactic biopsy, breast wire localizations or performing DEXA bone density studies) if training and experience are deemed adequate by supervisor to perform those duties. Performs stereotactic biopsy, breast wire localizations and DEXA bone density,

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

Education Required

•Must complete in-house orientation program

•Graduate of AMA approved Radiologic Technology program

Experience And Skills

•Excellent interpersonal skills

•Speaks, reads and writes English

•Three years of experience in mammography with experience in MQSA regulatory guidelines preferred

•Good oral and written communication skills

•Computer and typing skills.

•Basic knowledge of medical terminology

License/Certifications

•Current New York State license in Radiologic Technology.

•Active certification by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

•Current ARRT certification in mammography, R.T. (R) (M) required within two years of hire.
