Maintenance Technician
Salary: $25-35 per hour
Location: Toluca, IL
Shifts: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift available
Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment within the facility. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing both preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment and machinery
Perform repairs and troubleshooting on mechanical systems, refrigeration units, and other facility infrastructure
Implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs to ensure operational efficiency
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize disruption to operations
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and effectively resolve issues
Assist in training and mentoring junior maintenance staff
Qualifications
Technical certification or degree in a related field preferred
Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, refrigeration, and plant maintenance practices
Familiarity with PLC and HMI systems
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety standards
