About the Position

The SEC Reporting Intern position at Vertiv offers a valuable opportunity for students interested in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and technical accounting. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience with SEC filings, supporting schedules, and documentation, while offering insight into the external reporting process of a publicly traded company. The role is ideal for students seeking to build a career in accounting or finance with a focus on public company reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation and review of SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K.

Support the SEC Reporting team in gathering and organizing data and supporting documentation for quarterly and annual filings.

Help maintain accurate workpapers and supporting schedules in compliance with SOX/internal control requirements.

Perform tie-outs and cross-checks of financial statements and disclosures.

Participate in technical accounting research projects and assist in drafting whitepapers or memos.

Collaborate with various teams including Accounting, Legal, and FP&A to collect relevant data for disclosures.

Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to reporting processes and systems.

Requirements

Must be pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Strong interest in financial reporting, SEC compliance, and technical accounting.

Excellent attention to detail, especially in reviewing data and documentation.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with Workiva is a plus (not necessary).

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently or within a team.

Self-motivated and eager to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
