Job Description

Maintenance Assistant's Requirements:

Familiar with shop practices, operations, use of equipment, hand and power tools, and materials.

Knowledge of safe working practices, life safety codes, and building codes.

Experienced in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, dry wall and painting and all phases of maintenance and rehabilitation work.

Organization, attention to detail, flexibility, and strong ability to multi-task.

Ability to work without supervision and demonstrate considerable initiative.

Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain high level of confidentiality; must sign confidentiality agreement.

We are looking for skilled, talented, and compassionate people to join our team! Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager at Maryhaven, the Maintenance Assistant's role is to address maintenance issues at all facilities. The Maintenance Assistant maintains continuous operation of physical Maryhaven locations and executes all phases of building repairs. He/she will respond to after-hours and weekend emergency calls.
