Locum Tenens Urologist Opportunity Near Minot, ND

We are currently seeking a Urologist for a locum tenens position near Minot, ND. This opportunity involves providing comprehensive urology services in both a clinic and call setting. The ideal candidate will have experience with TRUS biopsies and cystoscopies and should be comfortable working with a team of RNs and LPNs in a dynamic environment. Position Details:

Setting: Both clinic and hospital

Clinic Environment: The clinic is located within the hospital, ensuring close collaboration with other departments.

Support Staff:

2 Registered Nurses (RNs)

1 Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Duties and Responsibilities:

Clinic Duties:

Manage an average of 1-3 patients daily

Perform 5 in-clinic procedures per day

Handle up to 30 scheduled patients daily

Call Duties:

Provide weekend call coverage on a rotational basis

Respond to emergent surgical needs

Manage 1-3 stone cases as needed

Procedures:

Perform TRUS biopsies of the prostate

Conduct cystoscopies and dilation procedures

Surgeries:

Primarily focus on emergent cases

Typically handle 4 scheduled surgeries on designated surgery days Requirements:

Certification:

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology

State License: Active North Dakota state license required

EMR: Experience with EPIC is preferred

Experience:

Proven ability to perform prostate biopsies with an RN

Proficiency in cystoscopy without an ultrasound tech on site Additional Information:

Reason for Coverage: This coverage is needed due to the absence of a permanent provider on staff.

Robotics: Robotics experience is not required for this position.
