Job Purpose:

The Sous Chef (Chef de partie) plays a critical role in supporting the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring the consistent preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes. This position involves supervising kitchen staff, contributing to menu development, maintaining hygiene standards, and managing food inventory. The Sous Chef upholds the companys culinary standards and fosters a positive, efficient, and creative kitchen environment. Through strong leadership and culinary expertise, the role contributes to delivering memorable dining experiences that reflect the company's commitment to excellence.

Key duties :

Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations and overseeing the preparation and cooking of all food items.

Plan and develop creative and innovative menus in collaboration with the Head Chef.

Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation.

Ensure that all food is prepared and served according to company standards and in a timely manner.

Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed.

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute special events and catering services.

Assist in creating and implementing new recipes and dishes.

Adhere to budget guidelines and control food and labor costs.

Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into the menu.

Maintain high quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de partie in a fast-paced and high volume kitchen.

Experience in the mediterranean cuisine would be a big plus.

In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures in mediterranean cuisine.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Creative and passionate about food and cooking.
