Summary:
Our client is an aluminum and steel company specializing in laser welding systems, warehousing and logistics. They are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their team. In this role this person would be responsible for repairing, installing or dismantling machinery and equipment according to company plans, blueprints, and other diagrams. This person would also troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic problems with associated equipment.
Responsibilities:
Repair automated machinery maintenance and equipment
Support and complete predictive and preventative maintenance tasks and maintain documentation
Troubleshoot mechanical machine problems
Understand machine setup and operation
Maintain building equipment, such as HVAC or plumbing, possibly through contractors
Basic machining and fabrication
Ability to work to blueprints, sketches, etc.
Program and modify PLC programs (Allen Bradley & Siemens)
Create and/or modify FANUC and ABB Robot programs
Provide effective and efficient troubleshooting expertise on all automated machines using schematics and PLC logic
Involvement in Continuous Improvement Projects
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Completion of Millwright courses
Minimum of five (5) years experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Welding skills as well as skills in Arc, Mig, & Tig
Proven ability to effectively and efficiently troubleshoot equipment including FANUC and ABB robots
Experience with Allen Bradley & Siemens PLC & HMI's
Mechanical aptitude and skills are a must.
