Purchasing Manager

AVA Energy are currently supporting a leading Power Generation OEM in their search for a Procurement Manager to take ownership of key components in their global supply chain.

You will be responsible for the global category strategy around critical base engine parts (e.g., castings, crankshafts, bearings, valves) and will work cross-functionally to ensure the success of a major next-generation product line.

Job role:

Own and develop global procurement strategies for industrial machinery components

Lead supplier identification, development, and negotiations

Collaborate with engineering and operations teams

Drive supplier relationship management initiatives and cost optimisation strategies

Your Profile:

Proven background in direct material sourcing, ideally in a Mechanical background

Strong negotiation and influencing skills with a strategic mindset

Fluent in German and English

Willingness to travel (~20%) to manage a global supplier network
