Job Summary:
As a Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative II, you will be the trusted face of a national leader in diagnostic information services. You’ll draw high-quality blood samples, prepare them for lab testing, and ensure a positive patient experience by creating an atmosphere of confidence, safety, and professionalism. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, excellent communication, and adaptability to work across clinical sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection with accuracy and adherence to established standards
Verify patient ID and ensure specimens are labeled in the patient’s presence
Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance
Provide excellent patient-facing service in hospital and patient service center environments
Safely manage specimen processing and follow all safety protocols
Support multiple locations with travel flexibility and short-notice assignments
Promote professionalism, confidentiality, and exceptional customer service
Required Experience:
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a patient service center or clinical lab setting
High school diploma or equivalent
CPR certification required for hospital sites
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Customer service background in retail or healthcare
Prior hospital credentialing experience
Familiarity with electronic patient data systems
Required Skills:
Advanced phlebotomy techniques (pediatric + geriatric)
Ability to work independently in fast-paced settings
Excellent documentation and accuracy skills
Preferred Skills:
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
Strong time management and multitasking ability
Knowledge of medical safety standards and compliance
Additional Skills:
Keyboard/data entry proficiency
Superior customer focus and communication
