Shift/Hours: Mon–Fri, 9:00 am–5:30 pm (Central Time)

Job Summary:

The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR II) represents the frontline of patient interaction, drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing. This position requires strong phlebotomy skills, excellent communication, and the ability to foster patient trust while ensuring accuracy, safety, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily specimen collection and processing accurately and on schedule.

Maintain a safe and professional environment in compliance with lab protocols.

Execute clinical and forensic phlebotomy procedures with confidence.

Verify patient information, ensuring specimens are labeled in the patient’s presence.

Keep accurate documentation and required records.

Promote a positive organizational image to patients, clients, and staff.

Travel as needed to cover multiple service centers or physician offices.

Adapt to variable training and assignment locations.

Required Experience:

Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Nice-to-Have Experience:

2+ years in a Patient Service Center environment

Customer service experience in retail or service industries

Keyboarding/data entry experience

Required Skills:

Excellent phlebotomy technique (pediatric and geriatric included)

Ability to produce error-free work in a fast-paced environment

Independent worker with minimal supervision

Preferred Skills:

Medical Assistant or Paramedic training

Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA; preferred in MN)

Flexibility for overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts

Additional Skills:

Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (if applicable)

Superior customer focus and ability to communicate transparently

Strong multitasking ability in high-volume environments

Adherence to company dress code, safety, and confidentiality standards
