Project/Program: CONNECTIONS - CCWIS
Job Description:
This position will be used to develop system enhancements to CONNECTIONS, and several ancillary applications. This resource will develop both web applications and client server applications using Microsoft.net technologies.
Day to Day:
This individual will provide development support to the
CONNECTIONS project during development and maintenance activities to maintain New York State’s Automated Child Welfare Information System for OCFS, LDSS, and Voluntary Agencies.
The following are tasks that include, but are not limited to:
• Participation in requirement and design sessions
• Setting technical direction for the future of the CONNECTIONS application
• Serve as a conduit between technical and non-technical staff explaining new software/controls/processes
• Serve as technical lead for interfacing with legacy applications
• Serve as technical lead for new designs incorporating WPF and WCF functionality
• Establish UI design standards
• Guide team of technical staff in conducting reviews to ensure coding standards are adhered to
• Evaluation and selection of 3rd party software to be incorporated into Connections application
• Mentor senior developers in the use of MVVM patterns
• Mentor senior developers in the user of the pre-established development framework for the Connections application
• Developing appropriate system documentation.
• Performing reviews of other developers’ checked-in WCF, WPF, and .NET code ensuring CONNECTIONS coding standards and practices are observed
Mandatory Qualifications:
Software Developer: Is involved with all facets of the software development process, including the research, design, programming, testing and implementation of computer software.
Expert: 84+ months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
Requested Qualifications:
- 84 months of experience designing, developing and supporting child welfare applications under the SACWIS or CCWIS federal regulations.
- 72 months experience developing applications using VB.NET and .net framework 4.0 or above.
- 72 months experience developing applications using WPF.
- 72 months experience developing applications using WCF.
- 72 months experience developing applications using the MVC, MVVM, or similar patterns.
- 84 months experience using ODP.NET, SQL, PL/SQL, writing stored procedures, functions, packages in minimum version of Oracle 10g or higher.
- 72 months experience performing regression and integration testing.
- 60 months experience writing unit tests using Rhino Mocks.
