Bilingual (Eng & Span) QA Technician position for Food Manufacturing available for the 2nd Shift 3:30 pm to 12 am
This is a 8 hour shift with overtime.
Essential Job Functions:
he QA Technician is responsible for monitoring and verifying that all food manufacturing processes meet company quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong communication skills in both English and Spanish to effectively interact with a diverse workforce and ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and quality programs.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct daily inspections of production areas to verify compliance with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, SQF, and other food safety programs.
Perform quality checks including weight, packaging, labeling, coding, and product specifications.
Collect, prepare, and analyze product samples for microbiological, physical, and chemical testing.
Document and report non-conformances, deviations, and corrective actions.
Assist with training production staff on food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures in both English and Spanish.
Maintain accurate and organized records of inspections, audits, and test results.
Support internal and external audits by regulatory agencies and customers.
Collaborate with production and sanitation teams to resolve quality issues in real-time.
Ensure workplace safety and adherence to all company and OSHA policies.
Qualifications
Minimum 1–2 years of QA/QC experience in food manufacturing (preferred).
Must be bilingual in English and Spanish (reading, writing, speaking).
Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, SQF, FSMA).
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30–50 lbs as needed.
Work in varying temperatures (cold, refrigerated, or warm production areas).
Wear required PPE (hairnets, gloves, safety glasses, etc.).
Schedule & Work Environment
Full-time; flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by production needs.
Food manufacturing plant environment with exposure to noise, raw ingredients, and cleaning chemicals.
