Job Description

Develops and administers credit and collection procedures. Functions include managing Accounts Receivable, Cash Collections and the reconciliation of general ledger to AR and the bank. Responsibilities also include managing claims processed, returns credited and all other credits to customer accounts.

Reporting Relationship:

Reports to: Director, Credit and Collections

Works closely with: Finance, Sales, Customer Service

Primary Responsibilities:

Final approval on all credit applications.

Final approval on all orders over $5,000 and questionable accounts, and release of all other orders.

Final approval on accounts placed for collection.

Maintain credit limits for all accounts.

Prepare quarterly report track bad debt reserve.

Reconcile monthly trial balance to General Ledger.

Reconcile general ledger postings to bank reconciliation.

Reconcile all daily lockbox, credit card and wire deposits to bank statement-includes daily b2c reconciliation of adyen, paypal & american express

Handle all consignment accounts, reconcile and bill monthly sell thru.

Handle all large and difficult accounts to establish payment plan and evaluate credit exposure.

Communicate with Sales Reps and upper management as to status of any problem accounts.

Responsible for keeping abreast of industry news and managing subscriptions used to assist in credit decisions

Other duties as needed to contribute to the department/company accomplishing its objectives.

Required Skills/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Preferred

Previous AR experience

Excellent communication skills

Experience with Excel & SAP

Authoritative personality

Accounting experience in a multi-divisional environment

Highly motivated

First 90 days will be 5 days onsite and then convert to hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite and 2 days at home
