HCA Solutions is seeking qualified Certified Nursing Assistant's for the Dillon Juvenile Detention Center in Butner, NC!

4-week contract with the possibility of extension depending on needs.

Shifts available:

1st shift - 7:00am - 3:30pm

2nd shift - 3:00pm-11:30pm

3rd shift - 11:00pm- 7:30am

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be working with adolescents. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a safe and hygienic environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in adolescent, correctional juvenile setting.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.

Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.

Provide support in mobility assistance using equipment like Hoyer lifts.

Help with medical documentation and maintain accurate patient records in EMR/EHR systems.

Administer medications as directed by nursing staff while adhering to safety protocols.

Communicate effectively with patients and their families about care plans and progress.

Support nursing staff with procedures such as catheter care and phlebotomy when required.

Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols.

Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in patient care.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or in a similar caregiving role is preferred.

Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology knowledge is essential.

Experience in adolescent, correctional juvenile setting.

Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner is beneficial.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; additional certifications in phlebotomy or aseptic technique are advantageous.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment are crucial.

Must be able to pass background checks and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
