Registered Nurse

HCA Solutions is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for C.A. Dillon Juvenile Detention Center in Butner, NC!

8-hour shift; Monday through Friday, 6:45 am to 3:15 pm, 13-week contract with possibility to renew.

We need nurses with specific experience in adolescent, pediatric, school, public health, correctional-juvenile, and/or emergency nursing practice.

Will be required to work independently with the direct care staff.

Explain that RN will be the only nurse at the facility for part of their shift.

They will have excellent resources, but they must feel comfortable working in a juvenile justice facility with direct care staff.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.

Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care effectively.

Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Perform procedures such as IV insertion, suturing, catheterization, and phlebotomy as needed.

Participate in discharge planning and provide follow-up care instructions.

Stay current with best practices in nursing through continuous education and training.

Qualifications:

RN License

CPR/BLS Certificate

Experience in adolescent, pediatric, school, public health, correctional-juvenile, and/or emergency nursing practice.

Must be able to pass a drug screening and a criminal background
