CTG is seeking to fill a Salesforce Developer opening for our client in Buffalo, NY.

Duration: 5 months

Overview:

CTG is looking for a skilled Salesforce Developer with experience writing Apex Classes, Triggers, and Lightning Web Components (LWC). Experience with the nCino platform is a strong advantage. The selected candidate will play a principal role in designing and developing technical solutions, solving complex problems, and collaborating with other team members to support both day-to-day activities and large-scale projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

Complete and oversee systems analysis, design, and development for basic to complex solutions.

Serve as a key contributor on complex projects, maintaining strong knowledge of supported applications.

Lead and mentor less experienced developers and coordinate development tasks on projects of varying scope.

Prepare and manage technical project components, including timelines and resource allocations.

Participate in full lifecycle development, from technical analysis through to user acceptance testing.

Review and execute detailed test plans, including data preparation and debugging.

Evaluate complex interrelationships between systems and applications to ensure optimal functionality.

Draft and maintain clear and thorough technical/functional documentation.

Support and maintain application effectiveness and efficiency.

Recommend and help evaluate new technologies and processes.

Promote and follow standard development practices.

Maintain an understanding of business functions, operations, and strategic direction.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory standards, and audit points.

Scope of Responsibilities:

This role reports to the Technology Team Lead. The Salesforce Developer works independently on high-level technical phases of development and may manage project-based activities. The position includes monitoring team performance on deliverables, interacting with senior management and vendors, and may represent the department on committees or ad-hoc initiatives.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

While not a direct supervisory role, this position may lead small to large scope projects and provide guidance to junior developers or project team members.

Education and Experience Required:

Associate degree and at least 5 years of systems analysis/application development experience

or

In lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years higher education and/or work experience, including 5 years systems analysis/application development.

Strong proficiency in Apex, Triggers, LWC, and Salesforce development.

Experience with application development tools and platforms.

Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time management skills.

Proficiency in project management, spreadsheet, and word processing software.

Ability to work on complex, multi-component projects.

Experience communicating between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Education and Experience Preferred:

Experience with the nCino platform.

Understanding of M&T Bank’s application framework.

Subject matter expertise in business domains supported by the application.

Ability to lead technical aspects of large-scale, cross-functional projects.

Proactive and action-oriented approach with the ability to multitask and work both independently and collaboratively.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
