Job Summary:
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and systems, ensuring they meet specified tolerances and operational requirements.
Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies
Align, fit, and join parts using fixtures, tools, and power tools
Perform soldering, welding, and other fabrication tasks
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
Use measuring tools and laser alignment tools
Install and remove bearing seals
Inspect completed assemblies and conduct functional tests
Competencies:
Problem-solving and attention to detail
Knowledge of hand and power tools
Understanding of welding processes and blueprint reading
Ability to read orders and follow safety procedures
Physical Demands:
Frequent standing, walking, and lifting
Occasional sitting, climbing, and balancing
Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 25 to 50 pounds regularly
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
One year of related experience and/or training
Crane experience preferred
Ability to pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
