European Statutory Reporting Accountant

We are currently looking for a European Statutory Reporting Accountant to join us in Media City, Manchester. This is an opportunity to join us at a time of change and transformation where you can make an impact from day one. You will have a keen focus on building strong relationships with both group and local audit teams, ensuring timely preparation of audit deliverables and issue resolution. You will be tasked with reviewing local financial statements and using your analytical skills to challenge variances, understanding root cause analysis, and presenting an overview to the Directors.

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

Manage Financial statements- Managing the preparation of statutory financial statements. Work closely with professional services providers and auditors,

ensure that all financial statements and local filing obligations are prepared accurately and on time.

Collaborate- Working in collaboration with local accounting advisors, you will demonstrate a good understanding of the statutory adjustments under local GAAP compared to US GAAP

Lead- You will take ownership of ensuring final financial statements are approved by relevant Directors and filed according to local legislation.

Partner- Being a strong communicator, you will act as the key point of contact across the business to provide interpretation and implementation of new accounting standards or complex areas of accounting.

Plan-You will proactively take the lead in ad -hoc tasks and accounting projects as required.

We’re Looking for Someone With

An accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA) from a practice background, educated to degree level

Experience of UK GAAP (US GAAP knowledge helpful but not essential)

External audit experience with up-to-date technical skills – IFRS / FRS 102
