Job Purpose
The Graphic Designer develops the MySol brand, the ENGIE MySol corporate identity, and the MySol marketing campaigns. This includes ensuring a coherent identity in line with company values, a brand design, and coherent communications targeting customers, investors, employees, and governmental/institutional leaders.
The Graphic Designer designs corporate and marketing media, maintains the templates, and the image repository.
Responsibilities:
Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts, based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
Select colors, images, textures, and shapes to create the layout
Create communication layouts and designs for paper medium, e.g., newspapers, magazines, posters, leaflets, booklets, etc.
Develop material for web pages.
Develop designs for various merchandising and promotional materials, e.g., T-shirts, caps, wristbands, banners, flags, etc.
Design promotional displays, packaging, and marketing brochures.
Designs branding for MySol outlets
Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work
Keep the MySol brand fresh by thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts of how to present the brand
Illustrate concept by designing a rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size, and style, and related aesthetic concepts
Collaborate with procurement in the selection of suppliers based on quality at best value for various marketing materials
Printers to select the type of paper and ink.
Merchandising (T-shirts, caps, etc.)
Branding (banners, gazebo, stickers, etc.)
Any other marketing-related materials
Maintains technical knowledge by constantly communicating with the ENGIE Global Marketing team and attending design workshops (including online); reviewing professional publications, etc.
Undertaking any other duties which may be assigned by the Supervisor
Knowledge and Skills
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a related position
Proven graphic design experience
Have artistic ability and be able to present aesthetically appealing work
Knowledge of printing procedures and specifications, photography, and illustration
Passion and enthusiasm for design, with a creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability, and originality
Accuracy and great attention to detail when finalizing designs
Being open to feedback and willing to make changes to your designs.
Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously, with good time management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where continuous innovation is desired.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Team player
Great interpersonal and communication skill
Qualifications:
University degree in Graphics Design or a related field of study is preferred, or any other related field
Language(s):
Fluency in Swahili and English languages with excellent verbal communication skills.
Technology
Experience in using Microsoft applications, computer, and smartphone literate.
Strong Knowledge in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, HTML, CSS
