Job Description:
Role Summary
Working with the VP of Business Development, this role is responsible for developing sustainable business with financial institutions. The position focuses on initiating business strategies, creating business plans, organizing events, and achieving business targets. By building cornerstone partnerships with financial institutions and maintaining strong relationships with business partners, this role helps to build a healthy product mix that drives long-term profitability for SLHK.
Job Responsibilities
a) Business Development and Relationship Management
Assist in developing business with in-house brokers of financial institutions and build 1-2 cornerstone partnerships
Build and maintain relationship matrix with bank brokers and their bank partners
Manage cornerstone bank brokers to enhance distribution capabilities and help deliver sales targets
Work in partnership with sales support, product, and underwriting teams to provide excellent service to partners
b) Strategy and Planning
Gain market insights and competitor intelligence to formulate effective strategies
Target specific market segments based on business analysis
Develop quarterly and monthly business plans to achieve targets
Make strategic business recommendations to drive growth and profitability
c) Channel Management and Business Support
Organize team to deep dive in channel management
Initiate and coordinate necessary events and seminars for business partners
Assist in managing premium financing business, including internal coordination and external development
Drive business performance monitoring and reporting
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree holder, preferably in business-related subjects
Possess at least 8 years of relevant experience in banking or insurance industry
Sound knowledge of bank's segmentation and MCV (Mass, Core, Value) business
Strong understanding of bancassurance and bank broker business in Hong Kong
Experience with insurance products and strong business acumen
Strategic thinker with ability to recommend effective business solutions
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
