The impact you have in this role

As the Global Material Master Data Management Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Collaborate with global leaders, area supervisors and SMEs to design global processes that leverage various data sources to support business outcomes.

Lead global material data projects ensuring data alignment throughout the customer journey.

Recommendations for ongoing process improvements to drive efficiency and maximize value realization

Analyze negative trends or delays in the process to identify root causes enabling identification of proactive improvement opportunities .

Support implementing standards for global data operations, managing governance, monitor alignment to strategy, and conduct data quality validation.

Partner with business groups, IT, finance, and legal to develop global data governance programs that support organizational objectives.

Support defining and implementing global KPIs to track performance, supported by action plans.

Offer coaching to stakeholders & process SMEs at various levels for respective processes.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution

Four (4) years of combined experience with master data management principles, practices, and technologies including hands-on experience with MDM systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, ITSM).

Proven project management, training, and coaching skills.

Strong technical understanding and data analytics skills focused on data mining and foundational concepts for machine learning

Strong knowledge of data structures, data sources, and data principles.

Advanced technical skills: Power BI, Excel, SAP

Strong communication and presentation skills

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Knowledge and experience of 3M ERP systems related to MDM and experience with Lean Six Sigma methodology.

A mindset geared towards continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Operating with a sense of urgency and bias towards action

Work location: Hybrid with 2 days per week/8 days per month in the 3M GSC Poland office
