At our Madisonville site, the Maintenance Department plays a critical role in supporting uptime and reliability across growing, utilities, and packaging operations. We are seeking a dedicated and organized Maintenance Parts Room Coordinator to help drive performance through efficient inventory and support operations.
We are seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Supervisor to lead an assigned maintenance team at our Madisonville, TX facility. This role is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance activities, ensuring safe and efficient equipment operation, managing work order compliance in JD Edwards, and driving preventive maintenance performance.
The Maintenance Supervisor acts as a critical link between Maintenance Technicians, Area Foremen, and the Maintenance Manager—coordinating priorities, enforcing SOPs, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and safety.
What do we expect?
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead daily shift-start huddles to review staffing, assignments, safety topics, and critical priorities.
Verify attendance, escalate coverage gaps, and adjust resources as needed.
Review prior day recap reports to identify unresolved issues and performance trends.
Allocate work orders in JD Edwards according to technician skill sets and plant priorities.
Maintain strong cross-functional communication with Production, Engineering, and Planning.
Work Order & PM Oversight
Audit at least two (2) work orders daily for accuracy in labor, parts, and documentation.
Approve technician time entries and ensure proper work order closeouts each shift.
Complete at least one (1) PM evaluation per week using the PM Evaluation Checklist.
Ensure adherence to the Downtime Escalation Plan, escalating events over one (1) hour to the Maintenance Manager.
Reporting & Compliance
Submit a Daily Recap Report with work completed, issues, staffing updates, audits, parts usage, and escalations.
Conduct daily 5S inspections of assigned areas and follow up on corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, EPA, and Monterey Mushroom safety standards.
Weekly & Monthly Leadership Duties
Participate in weekly leadership and RCA meetings, following up on assigned actions.
Hold weekly 1-on-1 check-ins with Area Foremen to review team performance and development.
Update technician records in the Maintenance Skill Matrix monthly.
Conduct monthly safety walks and hazard reviews in assigned areas.
Identify training gaps and submit development recommendations to the Maintenance Manager.
What we are looking for?
Minimum 3–5 years of maintenance supervision or leadership experience in manufacturing.
Strong technical knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance processes.
Proficiency with CMMS systems (JD Edwards preferred).
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop technical teams.
Experience in food production or agriculture-based manufacturing.
Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis (RCA), PM optimization, and maintenance KPIs.
Working knowledge of regulatory compliance standards (OSHA, FDA, EPA).
