We are partnering with a prominent Sri Lankan company, a leader in its industry, to find a highly experienced Assistant Vice President – Data Analytics. The role is based in Biyagama and is a key leadership position for a local professional to drive the company's enterprise-wide analytics strategy.

The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong background in data analytics, passionate about leveraging modern business intelligence (BI) platforms to deliver actionable business insights. You will be responsible for defining the analytics roadmap, championing data democratization, and leading a high-performing, cross-functional team of data professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Define and execute a comprehensive data analytics roadmap that is aligned with the company's strategic business priorities.

Champion the use of Power BI, Looker, and other BI tools to empower business units with data-driven insights.

Drive the adoption and optimization of cloud-based analytics platforms such as Azure Synapse and Google BigQuery for scalable data warehousing.

Build, mentor, and lead a cross-functional analytics team, overseeing all aspects of hiring, performance management, and professional development.

Candidate Requirements

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Over 5 years of experience in data analytics, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership or management role.

Proven expertise with Power BI, Google Looker, SQL, and cloud data platforms such as Azure Synapse or Google BigQuery.

A strong understanding of data architecture, ETL pipelines, and the principles of data governance.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
