Location: Columbus, OH
Schedule: 1–3 classes per week (1 hour each) Monday–Saturday availability
The DNA Group is seeking a certified, experienced Yoga Instructor to lead small-group classes for military and civilian personnel at a federal installation. This role is ideal for someone professional, engaging, and comfortable leading inclusive sessions for participants of all fitness levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead 1–3 yoga classes per week (1 hour each) at the FMWR Fitness Center
Teach up to 20 participants, offering modifications for various skill levels
Arrive at least 15 minutes early to set up the space
Provide your own music/equipment (mats, blocks, etc., if needed)
Keep and submit class attendance logs
Participate in special events (e.g., Fitness Day, Aerobathon)
Clean and reset the instructional space after each class
Communicate promptly with the program POC for scheduling or cancellations
Follow all safety protocols and federal facility guidelines
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of experience teaching yoga in group settings (Required)
Valid Yoga Instructor Certification (e.g., 200-hour RYT or higher) (Required)
Current CPR Certification (must be valid at contract start and throughout) (Required)
Ability to work independently and professionally in a federal facility
Excellent communication, time management, and class facilitation skills
Strong awareness of safety, inclusivity, and participant engagement
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching yoga to military, veterans, or government personnel
Familiarity with Hatha, Vinyasa, restorative, or other multi-style instruction
Previous participation in community wellness events or group fitness programming
Understanding of federal facility etiquette and civilian-military community dynamics
Other Requirements:
Must pass background screening to obtain installation entry credentials
Must not solicit, collect fees, or distribute materials without prior approval
Must maintain confidentiality of all participant information
No use of prohibited substances or unprofessional conduct will be tolerated
