Performs skilled and semi-skilled work in the maintenance of County buildings, building systems and equipment and/or performs skilled mechanical repair work on diesel- and gasoline-powered trucks, boats, and spray equipment used in the mosquito and aquatic plant management programs.
Responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing and replacing building systems and equipment; maintaining assigned tools and equipment; preparing work records and reports, and providing professional and courteous customer service at all times.
This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Requires high school diploma or GED with two years of related experience.
Requires a valid Florida driver's license.
May require completion of state certification in general standards for pesticide application and/or A.S.E.
certification within six months of employment.
