Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio (LASCO)’s mission is to provide civil legal aid and advocacy to overcome unfairness and injustice, reduce poverty, and increase opportunity. LASCO has a long-standing history of being committed to searching out the patterns, causes of, and solutions to the repetitive and fundamental legal problems facing low-income Ohioans and pursuing the legal recourse needed to address those problems. Since 1966, our organizations have helped thousands of Ohio’s poor obtain and keep housing, secure public benefits, worked with families to gain and maintain economic stability, and helped domestic violence survivors to live free of fear and abuse and to obtain the resources needed to sustain themselves and their children.
LASCO is actively seeking a professional, dedicated and results-oriented person to coordinate the organization’s grant programs including coordinating funding applications, reporting outcomes to funders, and assisting with individual, corporate and foundation giving.
Working in close collaboration with the Development Director and Grants Specialist, this role will be primarily responsible for tracking, coordinating, and submitting new and existing grant proposals on a local, state and national level to private, corporate and government foundations to support the funding needs of the programs as well as collaborating and consulting regarding funding needs and priorities.

You Will:
Assist with the grant submission process through close coordination with the grants specialist to submit a high-quality, thorough work product in a timely manner.
Effectively gather supplemental documentation such as an org chart, liability insurance certificate, and other similar items
Utilize software to track grant reporting requirements and ensure deliverables are met.
Assist in conducting research on prospective funders and help identify funding opportunities.
Assist in maintaining official grant agreements and other official documents.
Work closely with Chief Financial Officer to ensure accurate accounting and balancing of all financial information.
Work closely with the Development Director and Grants Specialist to ensure compliance and accurate, timely reporting to meet grant and other funder requirements.
Help support in-person events, including facilitating RSVPs/registration, auction administration.
Administrative support for event committee as necessary, including but not limited to coordinating A/V with tech partners (internal or external), coordinating administration of financial component, and thank you notes.
Provide support for the individual and corporate giving processes, including donor database management, solicitation and stewardship communications, and working with internal departments to ensure fundraising and other data is appropriately tracked.

English language proficiency is essential and Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus. Additional languages – even better
Two-year or four-year degree strongly preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Prior Legal Aid or related work experience a plus, but not required

This full-time, exempt position reports to the Development Director and requires some travel throughout the service area. The position may be based in any of the LASCO Offices.
Salary begins at $52,000 & up and is dependent upon level of experience.
