Summary Description:
The Intercompany Accounting Team Lead is responsible for delivering timely and quality service to internal Dover customers, as measured by service level agreements and key performance indicators. Key activities include the following:
Manages overall compliance with intercompany month-end closing requirements for assigned team and closing tasks (Review and Approval of JEs)
Assists team members to ensure compliance with month-end closing requirements (troubleshoot issues and concerns)
Actively involves in assigned team's planning, direction, team strategy, and stakeholder management
Leads continuous improvement projects for intercompany and support transitions assignments
Evaluates and assesses assigned team’s performance (Individual Performance Scorecard, Performance Metrics)
Essential Responsibilities:
Manages and supervises team of accountants in performing Intercompany processes
Reviews and approves journal entries based related supporting documents
Monitors and tracks compliance to Intercompany policy for team’s assigned OpCos
Coach individual performance and career development of team members
Measures team performance in relation to assigned team goals for the year in alignment with the organizational goals
Coordinates and engages with key stakeholders across the shared service group
Partnering with the Intercompany Manager to support strategic initiatives, continuous improvement, and other special projects
Delegates intercompany tasks and assignments to accountants
Leads and supports process streamlining and other continuous improvement initiatives
Reviews journal entry tracker for performance metrics monitoring
Monitors and approves team’s timekeeping and attendance scheduling
Provides audit support, both internal and external
Conducts and reviews capacity utilization
Balances workload to maximize team performance and productivity
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Management Accounting; preferably CPA
Over 5 Years minimum experience in a Finance and Accounting shared service or BPO entities with at least 2 years supervisory experience
Previous experience in general accounting, with exposure to
US GAAP and IFRS
Intercompany Accounting
Experienced with major ERP Systems (i.e. SAP, Oracle, etc.); Oracle preferred
Prior experience in a Finance and Accounting shared service or BPO is preferred
Proficiency using Microsoft Excel (i.e. basic to complex formulas, pivoting, graphs and charts, Macro Excel is a plus)
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Applications (including SharePoint and Web-based applications)
Continuous improvement mind-set (Lean Six-sigma trained is a plus)
