Our client was founded over 30 years ago as a drywall contractor in Baltimore, MD. After years of gaining a reputation built around excellence and superior service, they expanded their company to include real estate development, general contracting, and construction management. Their projects consist of apartment buildings, entertainment facilities, data centers, and more ranging from $5M to $100M+. They are currently looking to grow their team by bringing on an experienced Assistant Project Manager. This person will start on a large-scale data center project in Northern VA.

Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager - $500M Data Center - Sterling, VA will be responsible for:

Supporting the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing data center construction activities

Managing schedules, budgets, and subcontractor performance to help ensure on-time, within-budget delivery

Reviewing and processing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes

Tracking and maintaining project documentation including drawings, specifications, and contracts

Coordinating with design teams, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues

Preparing progress reports, cost tracking, and forecasts for client and internal teams

Monitoring compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and project specifications

Participating in client meetings and providing updates on project milestones and deliverables

Supporting procurement by soliciting bids, reviewing proposals, and issuing purchase orders

The Successful Applicant

The Assistant Project Manager - $500M Data Center - Sterling, VA will have:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)

3+ years of experience in commercial construction; mission-critical or data center experience a plus

Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities

Proficiency with project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar)

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to work collaboratively with field teams, subcontractors, and clients What's on Offer
