Facility Overview
This 127-bed Level III Trauma Center is on Oregon’s Southern Coast, serving a regional population of over 320,000. The hospital provides a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient services and is home to a comprehensive Cancer Center. Its newly expanded facilities include a 19-chair infusion room, on-site pharmacy, radiation oncology, and dedicated nurse navigators.
Role Overview
Full-time, four 10-hour day shifts
No nights or weekends
Paid call shared equally
Primarily outpatient with occasional inpatient consults
Works in a collaborative oncology team including two Oncologists and one NP Locum
Affiliated with OHSU and part of the Knight Cancer Network
Procedures include chemotherapy oversight, patient evaluations, symptom management, survivorship care
Works closely with nurse infusion team, pharmacists, radiation oncology, and patient navigators
Functions independently with support from a highly collaborative team
Scope of Duties
Provide comprehensive care for oncology patients across the continuum of care
Conduct new patient assessments, follow-ups, and consults
Manage symptoms, adjust treatment plans, and educate patients
Coordinate with multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and support staff
Utilize Epic EMR for all documentation and care coordination
Participate in oncology-specific education and quality initiatives
May engage in clinical trials, survivorship planning, and cancer support programs
