Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and intrapreneurial Business Development Leader to lead and grow a defined market segment. This individual will focus on driving sales and profitability. This is not just a sales role - it's a leadership position within your market segment, supported by an experienced leadership team and a proven business model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and lead a defined market segment, with responsibility for driving its sales growth and profitability.
- Identify new business opportunities within the segment and develop strategies to convert them into long-term customers.
- Collaborate closely with the leadership team to align on strategy, receive guidance, and report on key metrics.
- Analyze segment performance and customer trends to continuously improve go-to-market strategies.
- Maintain organized records of activities, forecasts, and results in a CRM system.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in business development B2B sales (experience in food & beverage is a plus).
- Strong intrapreneurial mindset with the ability to lead initiatives, think creatively, and own outcomes.
- Proven ability to grow revenue and improve profitability within a defined segment or territory.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
- Comfortable with outbound calling, customer visits, and using sales technology.
- Coachable, resourceful, and results-oriented.
