Description: General Comments This unit has a total of 25 beds and a dedicated staff.

On Day Shift, the unit consists of 1 Charge RN, 6 RNs, 1 Unit Secretary, and 2-3 Technicians.

On Night Shift, there is 1 Charge RN, 6 RNs, and 1 Technician.

The patient-to-nurse ratio is 4:1.

The unit is equipped with an EKG Machine, Hoyer Lift, and LifePak.

The EMR system used is Meditech.

Candidates should possess problem-solving skills and demonstrate good judgment.

The ability to set priorities and modify patient care in response to changing conditions is important.

Timely notification to physicians regarding changes in patient conditions is essential.

Typical procedures performed include EKGs.

Most cardiac procedures are conducted in the Cath Lab rather than on the unit.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude.

Floating to Med Surg may occur, but it is of low probability.

The dress code requires navy scrubs.

Weekend commitments include every third Friday and Saturday from 7 PM to 7 AM, plus an additional Friday or Saturday shift from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Assistance may be needed during holidays, including Halloween, the Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas night.
