We are seeking a proactive, resilient, and highly organized Assistant Property/Leasing Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a high-demand residential property. This position requires exceptional problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to maintain professionalism while managing a wide range of resident concerns and operational challenges. You’ll work closely with the Property Manager to deliver an excellent resident experience, support leasing efforts, and help manage standard operations.

What You’ll DoResident Relations

Serve as a key point of contact for residents, addressing inquiries, concerns, and disputes in a timely and professional manner.

Maintain accurate records of resident interactions, maintenance requests, lease documentation, and rent payments.

Contribute to creating a safe, respectful, and responsible living environment for all residents.Leasing Support

Act as a strong closer in the leasing process—effectively convert leads into signed leases while maintaining compliance and professionalism.

Assist with property tours, answering inquiries, and guiding prospects through the leasing process.

Assist with the turnover process, including move-in/move-out procedures, unit inspections, and coordination with maintenance staff.

Help screen applications, prepare leases, and coordinate move-ins and move-outs.

Track lead follow-up and manage listings using property management software (e.g., AppFolio).Rent and Reporting

Assist with rent collection and follow-up on past-due accounts.

Support the Property Manager with financial reporting and budget tracking.

Identify opportunities to reduce expenses and improve efficiency.Maintenance Coordination

Submit and track work orders, ensuring timely resolution.

Conduct light property inspections and help flag recurring issues.

Support vendor scheduling and quality oversight (Property Manager to handle direct vendor communications).Administrative Tasks

Support the Property Manager with unit inspections, delivering notices, and property upkeep.

Maintain accurate lease files, reports, and records

Assist with compliance documentation and internal reporting.

Help keep office operations organized and efficient.Compliance and Property Standards

Help ensure compliance with local housing regulations, lease agreements, and company policies.

Assist in ensuring fair housing compliance and risk mitigation proceduresRequirements:What We’re Looking For

2+ years of experience as a property manager and 2+ years in leasing, or equivalent property management/customer service background.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Comfortable using tools like Microsoft Office and property management software (AppFolio experience is a plus).

Ability to multitask and take initiative.

Respond to emergency situations calmly and effectively, escalating as necessary.

Professional demeanor and commitment to excellent resident service.

Strong interpersonal skills to assist residents in a culturally and linguistically diverse community.
