Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Education: Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Advanced degrees are preferred but equivalent military or professional experience may be considered.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years in systems architecture, DoD program management, or sensor systems development.
Demonstrated expertise in implementing SOSA or similar open system standards within defense platforms.
Certifications: Certifications such as Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), INCOSE, or DAWIA Program Management certifications are preferred.
Familiarity with software tools (e.g., MagicDraw, MATLAB, Cameo Systems Modeler) and SOSA reference architecture is a plus.
Manage the lifecycle of SOSA-based sensor systems, from requirements analysis through design, testing, and deployment, while meeting DoD mission objectives.
Ensure all sensor systems adhere to SOSA standards, DoD acquisition guidelines, cybersecurity protocols (e.g., RMF, STIGs), and MIL-STDs.
Collaborate with system architects and engineers to ensure security and functionality requirements are met without compromising SOSA principles.
Interface and collaborate with program managers, engineers, contractors, and government stakeholders to align SOSA implementation with program priorities and deadlines.
Partner with acquisition teams to ensure alignment between SOSA-based solutions and contract requirements.
Coordinate technical reviews, testing, and demonstrations to evaluate system performance against operational needs.
Provide technical expertise on current and emerging SOSA standards, ensuring DoD systems leverage cutting-edge technologies.
Establish quality assurance processes to ensure SOSA-compliant systems meet user requirements and technical specifications.
Develop contingency plans to address potential integration challenges or failures.
Prepare and deliver technical briefings, progress reports, and performance analysis updates to senior leadership and DoD stakeholders.
Develop training materials and programs for personnel to understand and fully implement SOSA-compliant systems.
Assist with knowledge transfer and mentoring of junior engineers or technical staff in SOSA principles and applications.
