Location: Burlington, VT

Situated in the heart of Burlington’s downtown district, our office sits high on the fourth floor of the Wells-Richardson historic building overlooking the beautiful Lake Champlain waterfront and Adirondack Mountains.

Primary Responsibilities:

Preparation of hydrologic and hydraulic calculations and reports, for state and municipal bridge and alternative design projects

Perform detailed scour calculations and design protection measures

Conduct hydraulic studies for bridge and culvert projects, including river, stream, and floodplain crossings.

Utilize hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SRH-2D) and GIS-based project mapping tools for project analysis and design.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, including structural engineers, environmental scientists, and construction staff.

Mentoring of junior staff and staff development

Completion of LOMR and CLOMR applications

Business development, proposal development, scope of work and level of effort documents preparation

Requirements:

Qualifications:

BS or MS degree in civil or environmental engineering, or related field

PE Licensure preferred

5+ years of relevant experience

Strong oral/ written communication skills

Salary is contingent on experience
