How can you make an impact?

We are looking for a proactive and skilled Data Solutions Architect to lead enterprise data initiatives by designing, documenting, and enhancing our modern data architecture. You will maintain data models, implement best governance practices, and facilitate analytics through secure, scalable, and reliable data solutions across platforms like Databricks, Oracle, and Power BI.

The ideal candidate is equipped with strong analytical and technical skills, including exceptional proficiency in SQL. You will communicate complex data insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with a variety of teams and seize opportunities to grow your expertise in an evolving data landscape.

Your deep dives into data will use advanced techniques to analyze complex data sets, going beyond conventional methods to derive meaningful insights that inform decision-making about development priorities.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough data analyses and provide insights to guide architectural decisions and enhance existing data pipelines comprehensively.

Support the implementation of the Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold) ensuring structured design and data flow across layers.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Analytics Delivery, back office, data engineering, data science, strategy, and operations to interpret business needs and develop actionable data solutions.

Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, data pipelines, diagrams, and models.

Design, document, and maintain dimensional models following Kimball methodology for self-service and reporting use cases.

Create and manage interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and other visualization tools; mentor junior data analysts in their professional development.

Perform in-depth data analysis to identify quality issues, usage patterns, root causes, and their business impacts.

Build and maintain data catalogs, metadata definitions, and documentation on data lineage.

Assist with data ingestion and transformation using tools such as Databricks, Python, and Informatica IICS.

Craft semantic models and visualizations in Power BI to enable business-focused analysis.

Support operational and analytical data requirements with Oracle databases and ensure compliance with governance standards, quality expectations, and performance benchmarks.

What You Bring:

Preferred bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

A minimum of 4+ years of experience in a relevant field.

At least 5 years in an analytical or reporting role.

Between 2 to 5 years of experience in data analysis, data engineering, or advanced analytics.

Expertise in SQL, Data Blending, and ELT tools such as Informatica or Alteryx for 5+ years.

5+ years of experience with BI tools including Tableau and Power BI.

5+ years of experience in database structure design and relationships using data modeling techniques, including creating Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERDs).

3+ years of cloud platform experience such as AWS or OCI.

Demonstrated ability to perform detailed data analysis utilizing SQL, Python, or BI tools to discover patterns, anomalies, and business drivers.

Familiarity With:

Oracle and relational data modeling.

Kimball-style dimensional modeling.

Databricks (including notebooks and Lakehouse architecture).

Power BI, Tableau (modeling, DAX, visuals).

Python for scripting and analysis.

Informatica IICS or other ETL tools.

Knowledge of data governance, cataloging, and metadata practices.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clarity in documenting and describing data decisions.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

Experience with Salesforce.com (SFDC) platform data integration and analysis.

Experience with big data platforms like Databricks and familiarity with storage formats like Parquet and Delta.

Experience with Oracle SaaS applications (e.g., Oracle HCM, Oracle ERP).

Proficiency in Python for data analysis.

Experience analyzing data from Product Experience Platforms such as Pendo, Google Analytics, or Adobe.

Familiarity with data integration tools like Informatica PowerCenter and/or Alteryx.

Experience in the EdTech or SaaS industry.

The compensation for this position ranges from $95,000 to $110,000 annually, adjusted based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. An annual bonus plan may also be available, along with a comprehensive range of medical and other benefits.
