About the Division
The Executive Division directs the daily operation of the department, sets goals, guides policy and represents the agency to partners, constituents and decision makers. The division drafts budget concepts, proposes and analyzes legislative language and reviews testimony. Staff also supports the development of a comprehensive, integrated and coordinated system of elder friendly, person-centered programs and services, as well as explores opportunities to promote policy and systems change through strategic partnerships and monitors legislation that impacts older Ohioans and their families and provides information to legislators.
About the Role:
ODA is looking for a dynamic leader to join the Executive Leadership team as the Program Administrator. This position reports to Aging’s Chief Administrative Officer and has responsibility for providing strategic direction &/or recommendations for cross-divisional projects. The Program Administrator will manage cross-divisional projects and provide technical advice to assist the Chief Program Officer and the Chief Administrative Officer in decision making.
The job duties of this position include but are not limited to:
Program management
Coordinate and lead internal strategy meetings
Analyzing and evaluating program policies and directives
Submit recommendations for programs
Provides strategic administrative support to Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Program Officer
Manages and coordinates high-profile speaking engagements and public appearances

Professional demeanor, strong presentation skills, and the ability to represent senior executives effectively.
5 yrs. trg. or 5 yrs. exp. in business administration, management or public administration.
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management or public administration; 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.
-Or completion of undergraduate core program for academic field of study commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on File; 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative, managerial &/or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.
-Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 2, 63123.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
