DescriptionUnder the direction of an IT Supervisor, the Technical Project Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating multiple technology projects within the department. This includes overseeing project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery across various IT initiatives aligned with agency goals; and performs other related work as required.

The candidate will manage cross-functional teams (without direct supervisory authority), track timelines and milestones, maintain project documentation, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Responsibilities also include stakeholder engagement, risk management, leading project ceremonies and facilitating inter-agency collaboration where required.

This position is housed within the Office of Information Technology (OIT), which provides technical leadership, innovation, and support across the Department. The Technical Project Manager will contribute to key modernization initiatives impacting internal systems and external-facing services.

RequirementsEducationBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.ExperienceMinimum of 7 years of experience managing technology projects, preferably in a government or public sector environment.Preferred Education/Experience/CertificationExperience leading projects involving cloud-based technologies, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Salesforce, GitHub, and enterprise data warehouses.

Familiarity with DevOps, version control workflows, and CI/CD practices.

Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, and resources on multiple concurrent projects.

Proficiency with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project methodologies.

PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification preferred.
