Mixer/Pump Mechanic

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mixer/Pump Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on concrete mixer trucks and concrete pump trucks. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment where equipment uptime is critical.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on mixers and pumps.

Conduct routine preventative maintenance, inspections, and adjustments to ensure vehicles meet DOT and company safety standards.

Troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively to minimize downtime on job sites.

Repair and maintain mixer drums, chutes, pump booms, hoppers, and other specialized concrete equipment.

Perform welding and fabrication work as needed for equipment and component repairs.

Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.

Adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a heavy equipment or diesel mechanic, preferably with mixer trucks or concrete pumps.

Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and diesel engine systems.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.

Welding and fabrication skills are preferred.

Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to problem-solve under pressure.

Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

Valid driver’s license: CDL is a plus but not required.

Hours may vary based on workload and project demands.

Must be willing to work weekends, or emergency calls as needed.

Work environment includes shop and field repairs, sometimes under challenging weather conditions.
