DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer in Austin, TX. The successful candidate will have strong expertise in CI/CD, GitHub, automation, and modern DevOps practices, with the ability to design and manage scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support application builds, testing, and deployment.

Manage source control and workflow automation using GitHub.

Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.

Collaborate with developers to optimize deployment processes and enhance system reliability.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system performance and application uptime.

Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with state agency requirements.

Support containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud deployments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of professional experience in DevOps or related engineering roles.

Strong experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines.

Proficiency with GitHub (actions, repositories, workflow automation, version control).

Experience with scripting and automation (Python, Shell, or similar).

Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent).

Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Must be local to Austin, TX (no relocation or remote).
