3rd Shift Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Full-time role in Shelbyville, IN

Compensation DOE: Up to $34/hr.

Maintenance Technician for a 3rd Shift (10:00pm – 6:30am) Maintenance Technician that will do routine maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on various equipment and systems.

This role plays a important part in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing equipment, ensuring the highest level of efficiency and functionality.

Maintenance Technician Specific Responsibilities:

Independently identify and resolve complex issues in mechanical, electrical, and automation systems. Will execute important repairs and replacement of components, minimizing downtime.

Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations

Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and prioritize tasks based on urgency

Understand robot functions and weld adjustments, jig adjustments, and fabrication

Understand and work with basic automation systems, including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, and general document maintenance activities

Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

5 years of industrial maintenance experience. Associates degree helpful but not required.

Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

Ability to reach and interpret schematics and technical manuals including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical drawings, including Mitsubishi PLC programs.

Understanding of automation.

IG/MIG welding and possess knowledge to perform repairs on equipment.

Electrical knowledge with the ability to use an electrical meter.

Knowledge of Mitsubishi, Fanuc, Motoman, and Panasonic robots.
