The Opportunity This role is responsible for operations and maintenance activities and delivery of services to support campus wide initiatives.
This position supports academic and non-academic functions and events by providing general service support.
The Role
Provides labor for event set-up and teardown services
Supports academic initiatives by coordinating convocation setup, conducting room inventories and inspections, maintaining shared spaces, and ensuring timely delivery of educational materials
Provides labor for office and furniture moves
Picks up Schools and Departments equipment and electronic disposals
Supports in relief duties for Distribution Centre and other Facilities Management work teams
Provides labor for collection and transport of hazardous waste
Loads, offloads, and transports material and equipment for academic and non-academic departments
Assesses damage to furniture
Perform other duties related to operations, committee, special projects, and team building:
Act as liaison and advisor to Facilities Management to ensure proper adherence to best practices for consultants and projects
Actively participate in Committees
Required Qualifications & Experience
High School Diploma with a minimum 1 year warehousing experience a combination of education and experience will considered
Class 5 Drivers License preferred
Forklift Operator Certificate, or willingness to obtain
Current TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods ) Certificate, or willingness to obtain
Trained in First Aid, CPR, and WHMIS, or willingness to obtain

Physical Requirements
