Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Oak Brook, Illinois. In this role, you will oversee a team responsible for key financial functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, taxation, and general accounting. Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, taxation, and general accounting processes.

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Implement and maintain effective controls to safeguard financial integrity and support organizational goals.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize financial workflows and enhance operational efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including tax laws and reporting requirements.

• Manage the general ledger and ensure proper reconciliation of accounts.

• Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support business decisions.

• Utilize Sage Intacct software for financial operations and reporting when applicable.

• Drive improvements in the revenue cycle, particularly in healthcare billing and hospital revenue processes.

• Support the organization in navigating multi-segment operations and private equity-backed structures.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

• Proven experience in a Controller or similar financial leadership role.

• Familiarity with private equity-backed companies is preferred.

• Experience working in multi-segment organizations is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in Sage Intacct is a plus.

• Strong understanding of healthcare billing and hospital revenue cycle processes.

• Expertise in general ledger management and financial reporting.

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
