Pharmacist - GP Surgery - Gloucestershire

Locum GP Pharmacist - Gloucestershire (Part-Time, 6-Month Contract)

We are looking for aLocum GP Pharmacist to join a GP surgery in Gloucestershire for a 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive environment with flexibility and competitive pay.

Contract Details:

Hours: 22.5 hours per week, flexible between Monday-Friday. Candidate can choose their preferred schedule.

Duration: 6 months (with the possibility of extension based on mutual agreement)

Location: Onsite preferred; hybrid working considered for the right candidate

System: EMIS

Hourly Rate: £28-£38 per hour, paid weekly (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting medication reviews for patients, including chronic disease management and polypharmacy cases

Supporting repeat prescribing processes and ensuring safe, clinically appropriate prescriptions

Collaborating closely with GPs, nurses, and other practice staff to improve patient care

Providing medicines-related advice to the clinical team and patients

Supporting audits, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical governance activities

Requirements:

Experience as a Clinical Pharmacist in a primary care or GP surgery setting

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Independent Prescriber status is not required

Strong communication and organisational skills

Confident using EMIS or other clinical systems
